Fitnessdrinks – Part I

Many who reach their limits in endurance sports, or go above and beyond in sporting competitions, experienced it. You’re running at full speed, you’re trying to keep up with the biking group and not get dropped, or you find yourself on your last 300m to shore… Suddenly your muscles cramp! As if spasms aren't bad enough for often forcing an immediate standstill, they are also at times very painful! Usually a mineral deficiency is the cause (like magnesium or calcium, or simply the lack of common salt (sodium chloride) due to strong perspiration).

So, please load up on minerals beforehand! Drinking is especially important, and the 1.5 litre bottle of French mountain water won’t do much good! However, it doesn't need to be the expensive, industrially produced drink from the supermarket or pharmacy either. If you want to brew your own “magic potion”, here are some suggestions! We have a recipe for those long distance runners seeking regeneration, and a drink for climbers that can be prepared beforehand and taken along, preventing them from hanging powerlessly on their rope and flapping in the wind. We also have a tip for the ambitious “mamil” (middle-aged-man-in-lycra)! Drink up! This is going to be great!

Pasta Salad

There are many variations of pasta salads out there. I still remember how prominent they were at student parties … (And it doesn’t matter how long ago that was)

But first have a look at the video! It’ll convince you to look at pasta salad in a new light! This one is with vegan sausage, but of course it can be replaced by traditional sausage. Note the order! (How times do change)
