Darin liegt aber auch der besondere Reiz dieser Insel. 18.363,21 km Luftlinie zwischen Wellington und Berlin. Es ist wirklich weit weg.

After our visit to Edelsatt it became clear to us that there are many fancy burger restaurants out there, and that it would be a shame, and frankly unprofessional, if we didn’t expand our horizons and failed to explore the topic further. Nach unserem Besuch bei Edelsatt ist uns klar geworden, es gibt so viele fesche Burger Läden da draussen, dass es echt schade wäre und schlichtweg fachlich inkompetent, wenn wir unseren Horizont nicht erweitern und das Thema nicht näher angehen würden.

3:45 Uhr in der Früh
Ich verlasse mein „Chalet Nr. 7“ des Campingplatzes von Havelock, der sogenannten „greenshell mussel capital of the world“ und tauche ein in die Dunkelheit der Nacht, während ein paar orangefarbene Laternen mir den kurzen Weg zum Hafenbecken weisen.

We wanted to experience Norway as it’s shown on the postcards: camping, bread baking in the sand, collecting berries, and of course fishing. However, it’s not enough just to buy a fishing rod, get up early, and cast into the water.

Wir wollten Norwegen als Postkarte erleben: Campen, Brotbacken im Sand, Beeren sammeln und natürlich angeln. Da reicht es aber nicht, sich eine Angel zu kaufen, früh aufzustehen, und ins Wasser reinzuhalten.

Waking up in the morning, quickly asking yourself why you can’t wake up on a tropical island, getting blindly into the shower, and then you’re supposed to get a bite to eat on top of it all?
At least a lifesaving cup of coffee.

Morgens aufstehen, sich kurz fragen wieso das mit dem Aufwachen auf einer tropischen Inseln nicht klappt, blind in die Dusche tappern und da soll man noch was runter kriegen? Höchstens einen lebensrettenden Kaffee.

Wir dachten uns, wir sollten Frischkäse einfach mal komplett neu interpretieren. Da kommt diese Alternative als wirkliche Geschmacksbombe daher. Brokkoli in Kombination mit Frischkäse und getrockneten Tomaten schmeckt! Einfach köstlich. (Wer eine Fleischige Ergänzung für die Stulle sucht dem rate ich Schwarzwälder Schinken).
